LANDING THE LIONESSES’ LEGACY WITH THE LET GIRLS PLAY CAMPAIGN

BRIEF

IDEA

RESULTS

Use the momentum of UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 and the Lionesses’ victory to turbocharge the FA’s Let Girls Play campaign message, ensuring girls receive the same access to football in schools as boys do.

On International Women’s Day, we worked with The FA to run media events at Let Girls Play Biggest Ever Football Sessions events across three different cities, utilising a host of spokespeople to land the Let Girls Play campaign’s key messages and champion the need for equal access within football.

A record 285,000 girls from schools across England took part in the Let Girls Play Biggest Ever Football Session, whilst the Lionesses landed their legacy and changed Government policy forever, ensuring no future generations have to fight for the right to play football.

The story dominated the headlines on International Women’s Day, with BBC News, Sky Sports News, Channel 5 News, ITV Central and BBC North West, amongst the broadcasters to attend Let Girls Play events.
