One year after the competition was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we worked with The FA to announce the inspirational new legacy goals for UEFA Women’s EURO 2022.

Convening national, trade and regional media via a virtual press conference, the event outlined the vision for how the event will create new playing opportunities for girls and women, as well as new ticketing and scheduling information for what is set to be a record-breaking tournament.

More than 300 pieces of coverage landed including messaging from Baroness Sue Campbell on national and regional legacy, as well as Head of Tournament Delivery Chris Bryant.

As England prepared to host the biggest ever celebration of women’s football in this country, we were on hand to help The FA mark the original milestone of 500 Days to Go until the UEFA Women’s EURO 2021.

At a specially co-ordinated press event at Wembley Stadium, it was announced that Manchester United’s Old Trafford ground is set to host the opening match of the competition, offering England the opportunity to break the attendance record for a UEFA Women’s EURO in its opening fixture.

With over 900 pieces of coverage, and encouraging early take-up reports for tickets and volunteering opportunities, the launch was an encouraging start for the competition, which has been postponed until July 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
